This is an excellent dinosaur tooth. It is a beautiful Triceratops horridus tooth from the Cretaceous of South Dakota. This specimen was recently acquired from a major fossil collection. This extremely 3-dimensional tooth is totally free of matrix and exhibits superb detail. The tooth has the classic shape wonderfully showcased. The corrugated edges of the enamel are easily seen, and the blades and root of the tooth are beautifully displayed. And there is absolutely NO RESTORATION whatsoever to this tooth. This is an outstanding specimen of a large tooth from this classic horned dinosaur.
